Here's the reason:

After a time of inactivity (besides the actual inactivity here), I returned several times to FB to find there's LOTS of comments from the persons who I contacted (being them Cheryl, and Shyori among others). Most comments were inane, and not really relevant to my interests.

What to do? I was saying. Even my posts were so low quality, other people would not believe a word I say.

Besides, I've been in yet another segment of depression, and in times like that, I like to scrap my online stuff, withdraw from the world and die in a hole. I've done it here, and it costed me <STRIKE>Fionn's friendship</STRIKE> dear. Let's say almost the proverbial arm and a leg.

So from now on, it's gonna be here, baby. As usual. Why, you may ask? Because Xanga is for people who actually can type more than a sentence without going OMFG datz so radkl, U stnk, me FlieZ!!!!1, ending in a classic ROTFL trance induced by more LOLZ than anything else (or bad homeland-grown marijuana, if you may).

So, expect me to have a couple of anime reviews I'm preparing, since Off line does not mean off with anime.

Sore ja,

Joey

Reiterate

Currently listening: Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygêne

I've been thinking on what to do with the little time to spare now that I have been in an increase of responsibilities in my job, and a contrasting change in day schedule. At the same time, I've been coming up with bits and pieces and feel they would have some cohesivity so I can assemble a song or two, if I set myself to do so. To add up to the sum, I'm going through a certain internal (or affectional, if you may) turmoil, I feel like expressing some stuff bottled inside. It's like I feel there's certain number of events piling up on another to conform a sizeable column of feelings. That should be left into the open, I reckon, for my own peace of mind.

I suppose being left on my own by my two friends (one going for a life in a household as a head mother, and the other for studies at a distant city, where anything can happen, including finding someone to near - but not disposable yet - plans of getting married) makes me one lonely cat. One that needs someone to trust.

So, I think reiterating my friendship with them is quite an impossible feat, since it appears everyone took their own path, except me.

Lonely, but not at the top. What a mess.

Joey.

Be for you, Be for Me

     Curently listening: This!

It's been such a long time I left this project in the can, I was looking forward a time to sit down, relax and put on the cans (headphones) so I could mix it to my heart's content. Why did I have to sit down and give a time slot? Because! it had major cohesivity problems between the two voices. One was done with my trusty Electrovoice PL80 (used by nyo) and I used an Audio Technica ATR-25, condenser microphone. Results? the two voices sound quite different in the raw, so I had to carefully tweak the eq's so they could sound similar in terms of sheen, air and bass density. Other than that, the compression ratios were a bit of a chore, since I tend to yell at the mike, while Nyo tends to use close proximity a lot.

I guess It came alright, so... for those who like Love Hina Again, Here's our personal version of ...

If you, dear casual reader, feel like commenting, please do note we were just "singing" in a Karaoke-like mode, with record enabled. She sang first - her whole parts - then I recorded mine. It had not to be perfect, it was fun, so it could not be perfect. Any note misses are because of the spontaneity it was sprawling across the room. Currently listening: Milk - Ai (Chuuseishin)

No doubt I've been more than absent from my quasi-day-to-day, virtual activity book. I can claim nothing but being guilty of slothery. But bad as it is, I've been really busy (classic, archetypal scapegoat) to the point of neglecting my writings. As much as I love to sit down and let my imagination run like a Maverick on the dusty plains of New Mexico.

Ok, make that Death Valley (California).

Even my typing skills are suffering, and that's because I've been doing more mouse work, as opposed to doing keyboard work. You see, nowadays, almost any computer has either MS Windows, or MacOS. Or (more rarely) a LINUX clone, giving them the windowed front end everybody loves. Then the work becomes not typing, but using your mouse around the OS front end, or on an application. Usually, most of my workmates (whom I've been observing, just to confirm or discard my theory) work around applications using their right hand only (even left handed are used to mouse with their right hands. Including myself, a partially left-handed person). That makes a great unbalance while using a computer.

Finally, giving close observation to this fact, I came to understand I really loathe using a mouse, because there's just one, for the rigth hand (or if the user is very conscious, the left). I'd like to have a bigger computer desk, where I could place my application windows separated (not stacked, even if I have a 17-inch monitor at the office), and visually go to-and-from any number of applications without having to zoom in with a mouse that is giving me a pain in my right wrist. I'm sure there should be a kind of solution to this. I'm thinking in a Cintiq display, with its specialized pens, but that would be too prohibitive, let alone my company would allow.

Then again I think in terms of my own motivations, and ends. It's too problematic not being a filthy, stinking rich.

Meantime, I'll have to deal with life as is. I guess.

BTW, after writing this, I guess it would make a great post to talk about how I am a "partially left-handed" person. But that will have to wait until I get some more time. Ok?

Well, if a poem, rant or writing comes my way before explaining that, I guess it's ok, too.

Joey.

According to Albus Dumbledore...

"... I'm about to go to sleep.

I just want to write, write away. It's been so long since I posted a thing that I can feel comfortable with. But being my time so short and my rants sometimes tend to be rather long, I suppose I really need the time.

I had something in my mind, but I had a terrible mishap today, and my keyboard lies under my fingers dirty from all the cereal flakes I've spilled yesterday, but couldn't get out under some keys. Basically, the U gets stuc if I don't hit it quickly enough, and the space bar is too hard to press with my thumbs.

Anyways, I just wanted to write something. It has to do with my current work status, since I've been increasingly busy. I've only posting verses and such, since I only have the time to work on them during breaks. I just wanted to let you all know I'm not gone, done or anything of the like. I just don't have too much time to sit down and write a post properly, which I truly long for.

There has been a lot of events during this whole time, but I'll try to post as soon as I have the time, or I'll resort to partial posting. It all depends on how much time I have. As for now, is 4.00 a.m. and I really have to take a nap. Tomorrow's gonna be a hard day, just like the others, and I need to take some kind of rest.

Later, dear casual reader.
